Qualified Dental Assistant
As the lead chairside assistant to Dr. Chincheck, Carrie upholds the office standard of establishing personal relationships with each patient and delivering the highest quality dental care. She’s worked with Dr. Chincheck for over eight years, bringing her eighteen years of dental experience to our office. She’s a natural people person and loves reassuring and comforting patients who may be nervous or fearful. Dental assisting compliments her strengths, and she’s excellent at establishing a relationship with every patient who sits in the chair. She’s confident in Dr. Chincheck and is happy that every patient’s overall health is considered while delivering dental care. Carrie finds her pleasure in gardening, baking and cooking, reading, relaxing with her clowder of cats, and spending time with her best friends.
Formerly a medical billing and office administrator for over thirty years, Leah has recently moved into the field of dentistry. She’s received hands-on training, interacting directly with the staff and patients to expand her knowledge and learn more about her new field of clinical care. She’s energetic and assertive, and her passion for life adds to her capabilities at our office. Leah handles a diverse workload, including social media management, scheduling, marketing, payments, moderating staff meetings, and handling implementation of new materials and devices. She’s actively involved in the community, through Bible Study and other local service projects with her church, as well as overseas humanitarian missions. The birth of her first granddaughter, whom she loves spending her time with outside the office, made her feel truly blessed, as she saw life come full circle into the next generation. She also enjoys reading, writing, and running, and is proud to say she completed her first half-marathon.
Her intentions may have been to originally run an animal rescue, but after her high school teacher secured her an interview with Dr. Chincheck over fifteen years ago, her career path quickly changed. She’s worked with Dr. Chincheck ever since, and is responsible for ordering supplies, maintaining the exam rooms, handling minor IT issues, and any other assistance the team may need. Jessica thoroughly enjoys the commitment to patient care exhibited by Dr. Chincheck, and how each patient is given a voice and a space to be heard. The individualized care is a perfect atmosphere for someone as compassionate and empathetic as Jessica. She is an avid traveler, having already visited thirteen states and eight different countries outside the U.S. Over the weekend, you may find her at the local farmer’s market or relaxing with her fiancé.
Over half of her thirty-one years in dentistry have been spent at Dr. Chincheck’s office, and Sheila has become a familiar face for patients. She’s the first person to greet them as they arrive in the office and handles patient scheduling, billing, office reports, and other administrative tasks. Previously, she worked as a substitute teacher and in the field of Market Research, until she was recommended for a position at our office. She saw the care and attention that Dr. Chincheck gave to each patient and loves the professional yet friendly atmosphere of the office. Sheila’s loyal and dependable personality make her someone our patients rely on, and she’s an integral part of the team. She enthusiastically welcomes continuing education classes that are offered to the team, and takes pride in expanding her skills. Along with exercising at her local Curves, she enjoys dining out, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends, especially when she gets to bake a special treat for the perfect occasion.
